It was an indescribably gorgeous day yesterday. Chilly and very windy with intermittent sun. The clouds were breathtaking. When I saw that cloud formation approaching the tree, I hit autofocus and waited for the wind to take it to just the right spot. I took 170 sky shots yesterday. Perhaps you'll see another one if I'm happy enough with it. We'll see.

Glad you like it! When I saw that bizarre cloud formation blowing closer and closer to the weird cone-shaped tree, I set my trusty Canon's auto-focus and waited. Took 5-6 different zooms, but I liked this one because of the symmetry. Only had to crop about 1/2 inch off the right side to balance it.

It was an amazing day yesterday. Uncharacteristically cool temps for Central Texas (50's F), wild winds, amazing cloud formations. I am soaking it up because even though it's green and pretty now, Summer will burn bright and hothothot until almost November.

Yeah I saw that on the weather channel last night (Texas being in the 50's) and I thought wow..they have to be cold down there!! LOL we got hit with another few inches of heavy wet snow, the wind is really whipping out there, but *knock on wood* no trees have come down around us yet!
