Cows and daisies. Yep. A whole heap of diaises. In fact, there were probably more daisies together in one place than I have ever seen before.
Notice, please, the sharpness of the horns. At this moment the cows are peaceful. Within two minutes of taking this picture, they erupted into full scale battle mode, nostrils flaring, eyes glinting, heads tilted to display those wicked horns.
At that point I thought it best to leave and limped quickly back to the car. Once there I discovered that while I was out shooting, Troublesome Dog Number 1 (Rhettie) had stepped on my keys while angling for a better view of the bovines. In doing so he armed the car, locking me out. Fortunately the window was open enough to insert a slender branch, hook it through the metal ring, and ever so slowly lift the keys out of the car.
I am grateful that there was barbed wire between me and the cows. Very grateful.
It's not the very best light, unfortunately, but it was my only chance to capture them. The better angle for the light had a gas station in the background. I'm not sure if it's possible to lighten up the shadows. I really did very little beyond a light sharpening and brightening. Added a bit of color and cropped the edges a bit as well.
Will post in scraps a close up of the very scary horns.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
